Mr. & Ms. Galaxy (contest)

This is a galaxy-wide contest {all SWG servers} which can earn you a badge for your efforts. It boils down to taking a screenshot of yourself and submitting it with the appropriate information (full information below).

As a reminder, the Solaria blog accepts submissions: stories, images, citizen profiles among anything else. Comment or contact me {in game or through the blog} if you wish to learn more.

If you love to take pictures of your character, this is for you. I posted all the rules below, but this is also a good time to remind you all about posting to the Solaria community. If you make an entry, let me know.




Challenge: The SOE Community Team is hosting the Mr. & Ms. Galaxy forum challenge.  Submit your best character screenshot for a chance to become Mr. or Ms. Galaxy.  Submissions must display a full-body screenshot of your character to be eligible for the challenge. You are permitted to show your character in a scenic shot but your character needs to be the main focus of the image.  We must be able to see what your character looks like!

Duration: Submissions for this forum challenge will be accepted from Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 10:00 am until Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 10:00 am PDT. (PDT is -7 hours GMT: 11:00 am MDT, 12:00 pm CDT, 1:00 pm EDT, 5:00 pm GMT, 6:00pm CET)
Rules: Before submitting an entry, please review the Official Forum Challenge Rules and the additional notes below:

• Guild, Outfit or Player Association:
• Character Description:

• Submissions must be in JPG or PNG format and must be No bigger than 800 pixels in width x 600 pixels in height, no exceptions.

• Images submitted must be in the form of in-game screenshot or modified in-game screenshot of your game character. Do not submit any images that are copyrighted (other than use of SOE materials) or those that were created by or belong to someone else.

• Community members are permitted to submit one screenshot for each game, per account. You cannot submit two entries for one game.

• Community members are permitted to update or replace the screenshot throughout the submission period. The last version submitted will be used.

• Character names and NPC names should be turned off for the image. Do not include any text in the image.

Judging Process: After reviewing all the submissions, up to 10 finalists each for Mr. & Ms. will be selected. The finalists will then be presented to the community to vote on who should be Mr. & Ms. Galaxy!
Rewards:  Winners and Runners-Up will be highlighted on the SOE web network.  In addition, winners will receive the following:

• Flawless Krayt Dragon Pearl (tuned by Draakull Mistwalker)

• Runners-Up: Finalists, #2 to #10 for Mr. & Ms., will receive
