Star Wars Galaxies Memory Book (download here)

In case you missed it, Star Wars Galaxies has ended - and unless you have bothan spies working for you, it's very difficult to find older information or even the Memory Book - which was SOE's official online tribute to the game.

Problem is, the domain and forums have been collapsed- forwarding to the SOE main site.

[This is the reason so many of the posts here have vaporized images.  I will work to re-edit and add photos where they were.  Just give me a little time and patience, and this place will seem fully functional again.]

The "Memory Book" has basically been a memory itself; unless someone was lucky enough to download it.  I finally found a place to house mine, so anyone who missed out has a chance to relive some of the SWG greatness; whether a newer or veteran player.

Death in the Family

I'm sad to give news of the passing of Tuage (C'B).  He was not only a friend of mine but a former guildie and past citizen of Solaria.

 From Facebook:
at 1pm Michael took his last breath. He is now an angel looking down on all of us. No more pain or suffering. Please keep his daughter and the rest of his family in your prayers and thoughts as the healing process begins.
He was a great guy and always tried to stay in contact with his friends from the past.  Even when he was in a different guild and city, he still tried to help me out as well as any of his former guildies or citizens.  Often he would make me say hi to different people, and I'd carry out messenger duties since a lot of people had different

The memorial for C'b/Tuage will be held on Monday, October 4th at 7PM CST/8PM EST on Venri Island, Corellia (Starsider galaxy).  Waypoint is -5420 -6238.
We ask all that attend to be "On Leave" and of course, please no Bounty Hunting (please be respectful).  Please do not drop banners or activate Colonel buffs during this time to keep down on lag and distractions.
HERO will start with opening words and then we will open it to anyone else that would like to say something about C'b/Tuage.
You may leave comments here or at the link below.  Even if you didn't know him well (or not even at all), any words from the community would be more than welcome.

R.I.P. Jeff Freeman: 1968-2008

I happened upon this and knew many people would take interest. Some of you may want to know, and many are aware he was a developer for Star Wars Galaxies. At times he was also the figurehead/scapegoat for some of the game's modification: unfair as those accusations were.  Since I feel Solaria is a community place, it's only fitting one of the biggest people to help shape my SWG experiences gets tribute as others who passed through and passed on.

[link since defunct]

His brother got word out via a variety of MMO forums:
"Some of you know who Jeff Freeman was; he was the lead designer at Sony when the major changes were made to SWG that left so many upset. Although it was not his fault he took the brunt of the criticisms, attacks, and even death threats.

Some of you may have even known him back in the UO days as Dundee, Guild Master of the Nameless Ones on Lake Superior and later the administrator of the private UO server World of Dreams.

I am not sure why I have chosen this forum to share this news; it may be that I would have loved to see Jeff build the game that he really wanted to, if he was running a private server. You see I am his brother. On September 24th Jeff took his own life. I am not angry at him or anyone else, sad yes, like so many others I feel a bit of guilt but I love my brother and I am thankful that he is no longer suffering."

EDIT:
Sadly, it seems his blog has gone defunct since his death. I was hoping someone tried to preserve it somehow, but alas. Maybe his brother was able to archive some of this, but I have no clue as of now.
Let me know if there's info.

On a related note, his "memory book" has expired as well. It takes paltry amount to keep it open forever: as is $80US. That is less than most people spend to play the average MMO for a year.
